The client is looking for Data Lead to support an assessment of 600+ Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) companies across Africa. The consultant would be required to conduct desktop research and leverage public relevant databases / other public data sources, as necessary, and build a detailed excel-based database of specific metrics relating to the DRE companies identified.

Deliverables
Excel spreadsheet containing the relevant metrics associated with the 600+ DRE companies identified Metrics could include product types / categories, electrification impact, funding, growth rates, etc. Spreadsheet will include a preliminary dashboard with filters illustrate high-level segments
Requirements
Experience required |
- Experience as a data scientist or engineer strongly preferred; exposure to data collection and cleaning required
- Experience working with data collection, cleaning, and processing, leveraging sources across the African continent
Technical requirements
- Proficient in Excel
- Problem solving skills to identify alternative data sources
- Structured and professional individual, able to deliver high quality output on a short period of time
Soft skills
- Strong attention to detail Passionate about collecting and curating high quality data
