Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are growing rapidly – that means our infrastructure needs to support that rapid growth so that we are able to provide our customers an experience that is 10x better than anything that is available / possible in the market. Our infrastructure is complex, so if you are looking for a steep learning curve, then this is for you. We use advanced networking, storage and compute systems but we now need to go further and faster.

To support the above growth,

• Working with the founding engineers, you will take ownership of our cloud infrastructure in AWS
• As an early hire, you will have considerable autonomy to shape our infra and influence architectural decisions
• You will build for performance, stability and scalability
• You will use Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, New Relic, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana in your day to day
• You will find ways to standardise our infrastructure and make release pipelines faster
• You will build alerting and monitoring workflows so that engineering and product can run their operations efficiently
• You will use Terraform, Python, Go

What we’re looking for

This job will be a great fit if you…

• Are not a Senior ‘Something Something’ with 10 years of experience in ‘Rah Rah’, 2-3yrs experience is fine
• Have a hacker mindset, love figuring things out, digging deeper and deeper into unfamiliar code bases until it finally clicks and you understand how it works
• Have a very strong experience with AWS and Terraform
• Have work in live production environment
• Have gone through the entire lifecycle of managing at least one major technical incident in your career so far
• Can manage your own work and take ownership without oversight
• Can communicate technical concepts with ease
